SWIM Gallery is pleased to present, “UH-OH,” a solo project showcasing a collection of pallet paintings made by artist, Tony Camaro.

Tony Camaro is a multidisciplinary artist who melds together paintings, videography, sculpture, and fashion. His work is centered around the city he grew up in, Los Angeles. Camaro reflects on the current state of youth culture, which stems from notions of; personal branding, celebrity hype, and regionalism. He explores the ever-changing identity of the city of angels and views the streets as the epicenter of contemporary culture. For Camaro, Los Angeles is not only his backyard but his source of inspiration, which explains his use of found objects like pallets and pieces of wood from his surroundings. According to the young artist he “uses the streets as a means to keep on creating. [And] feels like it gives [his] work added life and energy.”
