New Image Art Gallery presents, "In This Together," a solo exhibition premiering an installation by Jillian Evelyn.
Her latest body of work emphasizes coexistence in her interactive objet de art installation. She has framed the show as a home environment, featuring ephemera and scenery that evoke a sense of belonging and comfort. Similar to London's Blumesberry design movement Evelyn customizes home decor, such as: wallpaper, painted vases, painted chairs, and of course, paintings. Her original color pallet vivifies the household atmosphere. Her femme figures and stylized motifs are a staple of her design, which are enhanced by her unique color scheme. The exhibition combines tactility and artistry.
