Both Kelly Ording and Rebecca Miller live and work in San Francisco. |
Kelly Ording’s large works largely focus on her interest in movement and travel, from the obvious modes of transportation like airplanes to the more abstract, unseen forces like the wind. These current pieces also explore ideas of stability and safety within a constantly shifting, unpredictable environment. Her work is highly influenced by classical Asian art and combines the look of antique with modern and melds mathematical precision with organic forms. Her works on paper consist of coffee, ink and acrylic paint. |
| Rebecca Miller’s work infuses natural forms and abstracted spaces to create colorful, surrealist landscapes. Her preoccupation with botany and the ongoing cycle of life predominates in many of her works combining a fluorescent palette with earthy watercolors. Her imaginary gardens portray a utopia where greed, excess and misfortune don’t exist. She will also be showing her animated short films which were recently viewed at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Fransisco. Miller’s work was also recently featured in Arrow magazine. |
